In March 2023, a delegation from Thanh Du Minh Co., Ltd., comprising Mr. Kang (Company Director), Ms. Nhu, and Ms. Quynh (Procurement Department), conducted a field survey in Binh Phuoc Province – the area renowned as the “cashew capital” of Vietnam.
The objectives of this trip were clearly defined: to source suppliers of 100% Vietnamese cashews, gain deep, specialized knowledge on distinguishing cashew quality, understand the annual harvest season, and learn standard preservation processes to meet export requirements.
Binh Phuoc – The Cradle of Vietnam’s Cashew Industry
With the largest cultivation area in the country, Binh Phuoc has long been the center of cashew production in Vietnam. Cashews from this region are famous not only for their yield but also highly valued for their crispness, richness, and distinctive aroma. This province accounts for over 50% of the country’s cashew output and is a vital source of raw materials for the export industry.
Therefore, a direct survey in Binh Phuoc was not just an option but a strategic move to ensure a high-quality, transparent, and long-term stable supply.
Key Destinations During the Trip
Throughout the journey, the delegation visited several reputable companies and processing units, including:
• Thanh Long Company (A Cong Cashew) – a unit with many years of experience exporting cashews to international markets.

• Pagacas – recognized for its modern processing line, with a strong focus on quality control following European standards.

• Quang Hung, Lu Gia, and Duc Thinh – enterprises currently expanding their production capacity, with strengths in large-volume and stable supply.

In addition, the team directly visited several small farms and processing facilities where production still utilized traditional, experienced methods. This diversity provided the company with a more comprehensive view of the local cashew industry landscape.
Understanding Quality and the Cashew Season
One of the central focuses of the trip was an in-depth discussion with businesses and farmers on the criteria for evaluating quality cashews. From size, color, integrity of the kernel, to the crispness and flavor after roasting – all were crucial factors determining commercial value.

The delegation also thoroughly investigated the cashew harvest season, which typically runs from February to April each year. Understanding this seasonal cycle helps the company be more proactive in its procurement, storage, and processing plans. Another topic deeply discussed was export-standard preservation methods, aimed at ensuring the cashews maintain their freshness and are mold-free, meeting international standards.
Significance of the Trip
The Binh Phuoc trip went beyond just sourcing raw materials; it brought about many long-term benefits. Through direct discussions, the company expanded its network of potential partners, gained a clearer understanding of the on-site production processes, and identified both the opportunities and challenges facing the Vietnamese cashew industry.
More importantly, the trip affirmed Thanh Du Minh’s direction: consistently prioritizing 100% Vietnamese raw materials, ensuring quality and clear traceability, as the foundation for sustainable development.
