Field Survey of Seedless Lime Farms in Long An

In November 2019, a delegation from Thanh Du Minh Co., Ltd. visited and conducted a field survey at Chanh Viet Company (Ben Luc District, Long An Province). The trip included Mr. Kang (Company Director), along with Ms. Duong and Ms. Hiep from the Procurement Department. Mr. Tuyen, representative of Chanh Viet Company, personally hosted the delegation.

The main objectives of the visit were to survey the seedless lime farms, explore the potential for developing new lime-based products, establish a cooperative relationship, and select a standardized and stable raw material source for production.

Long An – The Land of Seedless Limes

Long An is one of the provinces with ideal natural conditions for growing limes. At Chanh Viet Company, the delegation received a detailed introduction to the seedless lime cultivation process: variety selection, tending, pest control, and harvesting. The lime orchards employ advanced farming methods, focusing on safety and traceability – crucial factors for both domestic and export markets.

Experience in the Orchard

The delegation directly toured the lush green lime orchards, observing the plump fruits, thin skin, and uniform quality. The local seedless limes are characterized by a clean, subtle tartness, making them ideal for processing into beverages, seasonings, or food products.

During the discussion, the farmers frankly shared challenges such as climate change, pests, and unstable market prices. This firsthand information provided the company with a clearer picture of the lime industry and reinforced its commitment to collaborating with farmers to enhance the value of their produce.

Building Cooperation

Beyond quality assessment, a significant goal was to establish a sustainable partnership. Both parties discussed long-term cooperation strategies, with a focus on sourcing export-standard seedless limes.

The Thanh Du Minh representative affirmed the company’s priority on clean raw materials and transparent procedures, and expressed readiness to share international knowledge and standards to support the farmers.

Significance of the Trip

This survey at Chanh Viet Company in Long An marks a step forward in developing lime-based products. It was not only an opportunity to select a high-quality raw material source but also helped build collaborative relationships with local farmers and businesses.

Through this activity, the company continues to fulfill its commitment: to deliver safe, high-quality, and sustainable products, meeting the growing demands of consumers.
